Youth Recreational Sports Mission

is to provide a fun learning experience for young athletes. Teams are formed considering many priorities including attendance area, grade level, amount of youth that wish to participate, facility availability, and coach availability. Similar considerations are made when determining practice times and locations. It is important to know that practices and games can occur at any of our OCSD facilities. Please take time to read our coach & buddy request information. If you have a special consideration please submit it via email prior to the start of the season. These requests will be considered, but may not be granted.

Refund Policy: Complete refunds or credits are given if enrollment is too low to support the formation of another team. If you choose to withdraw from a team, a full refund will be made as long as the request is made prior to the first practice. Requests after the first day of practice will be given in the amount of $75 per youth. No refunds are issued after 3 Saturday games. Some hardship exceptions apply and are at the discretion of the Community Education Department. Most refunds are issued as a credit to the credit card on file or mailed. Basketball Registration

BOYS BASKETBALL & Coed Mini Hoops

 

1st / 2nd Grade Coed Mini Hoops
3rd / 4th Grade - Registration FULL
5th / 6th Grade
7th / 8th Grade
Registration will close when capacity is met or on March 19th

8-WEEK SESSION-  2 PRACTICES A WEEK & 6 SATURDAY GAMES 

COST: $125 T-Shirt and Ball included

Registration: Please sign up under your home Elementary school for grades 3rd-6th.

Dates and locations of practice will be decided after registration is closed and will be determined by coach availability. 

All programs are run by volunteer coaches.  We need your help to make these programs a success!! Please reach out to Kristin Bean at kristin.bean@ocsd62.org if you are interested in coaching.

**All Middle School athletes must have a current sports physical on file.
Current Sports Physical (within 2 years) (Spanish & Russian)

Practice Location: Practices can occur at any of our schools. While you register under your child's attending school that does not guarantee that practices will be at the school. Be prepared to practice at any of our schools.

Practice Times: Practices will begin the week of April 17th. Practices occur twice a week between the hours of 5pm-8pm. The time is determined by the coach's availability and the building's availability. You will receive the schedule approximately 3-7 days prior to the first practice. The email will come from your child's coach. Please check your spam folder.

Games: Games are typically on Saturdays. Grades 3rd-6th play at Gaffney Lane Elementary School and Grades 7th-8th play at either Tumwata or Gardiner Middle School. The games for this season are scheduled for 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 6/03, 6/10. Please note there will not be a game on 5/27 in observance of Memorial Day Weekend.
